Coloured version of my previous drawing.
Ink, pencil crayon and chalk pastel with generous layers of workable fixative.
By the time this was done, I had burnished some places of the paper so much it was virtually impossible to avoid shine. I had to tilt the drawing quite a bit to avoid glare and then fix the perspective in photoshop, but it more or less looks how it's supposed to look. Despite my really rushed, lazy inking job I took my time colouring this and I'm pretty happy with the result. I really needed to kickstart my art muscle for a while now and this has given me a good start. I don't know if I have the time to keep up drawing with my quilt project, but it's nice to know I haven't lost my skill completely from disuse.
This is the inspiration illustration for my weaving class.
