This was my presentation of my final project this year for one of my Fashion Design courses.
The assignment was to be randomly given a famous designer, research their look and to create a garment based on their style out of recycled materials, all the while making it our own.
My designer was Alexander McQueen. I was inspired by one of his runway outfits of a woman wearing a creme dress and deer antlers. (I'll have to find the photo somewhere)
My modification turned the deer into a sheep, with the story of a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing. Materials used were:
- a sweater from a thrift store - coat hanger wire - fur, plaid and grey yarn from my fabric stash - a shell wall-hanging (Thrift) - a rug (thrift) - bedspread (thrift) - borrowed shoes (I was allowed to paint them!) - real sheep horns
EDIT: It seems I mistakenly allowed downloads of this image. Just a reminder that this photo is NOT stock. (It is poor quality anyway, I hope to get some better pictures taken of my costume)
This. Is. Incredible. Ahhhh and I also adore Alexander McQueen, and in my unprofessional opinion I think you captured the style very well. Honestly I think this piece is gorgeous. Well done.
